How To Reset Service Engine Soon Light On 2002 Olds Bravada

Okay, as I am driving domicile from class my "Service Engine Soon" calorie-free comes on. None of the GM dealerships could go my car in to get it checked, so I took information technology to an Advance Motorcar Parts. They have a code reader. Code: P1404. This code translated had to practice something with the Auxiliary Emissions. Does anyone have an thought as to what this means? A service director from a dealership said it could have been a loose gas cap and that would accept set it off. I heard this happens a lot in most cars. I checked the gas cap and information technology wasn't tightened all the mode. I tightened it, but the calorie-free isn't turning off. So, I am going to take information technology in tomorrow morning. Driving with that abrasive light bothers me.
If anyone knows codes or annihilation else to help, allow me know.

Aye, usually if you tighten the gas cap, information technology will turn off...otherwise, y'all can always just disconnect the battery after your tighten the gas cap to reset the reckoner. Maybe exit it off for 30 seconds to a minute to fully reset information technology.

Hmmmm peradventure someone has a play tricks to resetting the calorie-free without having to take information technology to a stealership or grage?

disconnect the negative terminal from the battery, leave it off for 20minutes. That volition reset information technology for you, the trouble isn't undoing the negative concluding, its finding what to do in the 20minutes
